Ipod doesn't fully turn on?

So my ipod nano 4gb won't turn on at all. When I connect it to the computer it doesn't detect it put the ipod does show the apple logo on the screen. you can barely see the logo but it does show. What can it be?? I've also done the reset where u hold it for 8 sec. THANKS
