Will the apple store be able to tell if my itouch is jailbroken?

I jail broke it for 4.0 but want to get rid of the jail break. If I update it to 4.2 it destroys the jail break. If I bring it to the apple store, will they be able to tell that it was jail broken if I update it to 4.2?
